Portable version of Counter-Strike 1.6 [40MB]

Fuck yeah counter-strike is friggin cool fuck yeh

One of my mates made this ripped, and non-steam version of Counter-strike 1.6 some time ago. I have been using it ever since, because of its simplicity, small size and fast to install and you can have it anywhere without trouble.

It is (ofcause) illegal, considered warez, but .. yeah.. who gives a damn, except VAVLe.

It is downloadable from here:

Do enjoy! zbot's are included and it works perfectly for LAN gaming or alike, but it wont, obviously, work online.

Have fun.

How to fix high pitched sounds from your laptop.

Oi.

A week ago, i bought this used HP pavilion dv9332ea, which is a good laptop imo, but it had this problem which, by searching on the internet, a lot of other people had too. A high pitched sound coming from the CPU (Probably). If you are reading this, you probably already are familiar with this issue.

I came across a possible solution to this:

1. Start your PC, and make your way to the BIOS.
2. Look for the tab called "System Configuration" or something like that.
3. Look for anything called "CPU C4" or something, Can't really remember lol.
4. If you can find this, make sure it is disabled.
5. Save your changes, exit bios and restart your pc.
6. Now see if it worked..

So far, it has worked for me just fine. I don't really know what this CPU C4 thing is but it is certain that i rather want a bit lower performance or something than, that sound coming from the laptop! Horror.

PS - It is also possible to do this via the program called RMClock. Go to "Advanced CPU options", then chipset and there you can disable it, i think. I tried it and it removed most of the noise but not all. Doing it via. bios really helped!

EDIT (A year later, lol):

An anonymous user commented the post:
"If you have Vista just go into your power settings and make sure the minimum processor state is set to 50% or greater in all 3 power options. This will make sure that the C4 state is never used, since C4 is usually about 40% of the fastest CPU speed. Almost took my Fujitsu laptop back before researching this issue."

I can add that if you have Windows XP, going to power options and setting it to "Always On" should do the trick too (I think, i cant try it).

This solution might be easier, also incase you don't even have the option in your BIOS.

Thanks, anon.

Good luck.
